All Fashion Forward

When people think Greek fashion, they usually think toga parties. But if you want something that's light and sexy for summer, go for the goddess look. The nighteam's Shireen Sandoval shows us how in tonight's fashion forward.

WSVN--Who knows if it was Brad Pitt, dressed like a god on the silver screen...

Or, if it was the Olympic games returning home....

Whatever the reason, When it comes to getting the look this season.... Think Greek revival.

Melissa Goff/Macy's:"This season there are quite a lot of worldly influences in fashion going on as well as a very huge feminine trend, the Grecian inspired fashion trend is the best of both worlds."

At Macys, they say you'll feel like Athena in these thin threads.

Melissa:"Most of the fabrics in the Grecian inspired clothes are going to be very light, very flowy, bringing back visions of all the Greek goddesses from Greek Mythology."

But even if the Greek goddesses didn't wear jeans...That doesn't mean you won't turn a few heads in your favorite pair...

Melissa:"You are going to see Grecian inspired trends naturally in dresses, um very toga inspired, however, this is a great look to pair up with a great pair of jeans to go out at night."

If you are going out at night, to truly go Greek, keep your makeup simple...

Melissa:"We always think of the Greek Goddesses as very natural beauties so you want to keep head to toe of your natural look, very soft pastel, makeup.

At Chroma they're loving the grecian craze cause it's bringing a whole new look to South Florida.

Bonnie Englestein/Chroma:"This look is very new for spring, it's very fresh, we have not seen it in fashion for a really long time, so this is a direction you really want to go in."

Just make sure you go in pretty pastels like pale yellow and soft pink.

Bonnie:"You are going to feel beautiful when you are wearing it because there is an elegance to it no matter how casual you are, but not a fussy elegance, just like you know, just a very rich feeling."

But you know when talking about Greece, we have to talk about going for the gold.

Bonnie:"Golds or metallics in general are going to be a very important accent color."

Look for golden strands of rope, Metallic lace-up sandals, Even Greek inspired medallions.

Bonnie:"It's going to not be exactly you know, Grecian as if you're coming out of you know a fable or something but it is going to have a little of that inspiration."

An inspiration that's ideal for South Florida...

Bonnie:"It's so great for Miami, its perfect for the heat of the summer. It's not gonna be sticking to you. There is a certain nakedness and sexiness."

When you're looking for shoes or accessories to match this look, Look for little leaf-let detailing. It's the perfect subtle touch.
