In the fall it was all about basic black. But this spring, dark is dangerous. If you want to be Fashion Forward, 7's Shireen Sandoval says wearing neutral colors is the way to go.

WSVN--Uma Thurman wore a cream colored versace gown to this year's academy awards. Reese Witherspoon accepted her Oscar in this neutral colored Christian Dior dress. And Nicole Kidman looked like a vision in Balenciaga white. This year the red carpet was white hot with celebrities wearing this season's choice color: Anything neutral.

Susan Behar: "Neutrals are totally in for spring. It's definitely a very natural palette, white on white, beige, tans, browns, mosses."

At Shop 603 on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, you don't have to wait till labor day to wear white.

Susan Behar: "Those rules are all gone, it's definitely. Neutrals are very popular right now paired with camouflage, straight leg jeans, skirts and crops."

Try a bejeweled tank top with stone colored denim. Or go for a white capri jean and matching top. The best thing about this color scheme is that it will keep you cool and it's easy to accessorize.

Susan Behar: "Dress up this look with jewelry, fun cork shoes, big bags."

Plus, it's a trend women, men and even kids are wearing.

Susan Behar: "Everybody's into finding white and beige jeans and capris and shorts."

You can find a neutral rainbow of colors at Anna Bella Boutique in Weston. The place recently underwent a huge renovation... Now, it even has a flat screen tv for the guys to watch as they wait. But you won't have to wait long to see neutrals are the way to go this season.

Erin Melican-Londos: "We usually see pastels, a lot of pastels. This year it's a little bit different. It's very strong in neutral tones, not just neutral tones, but natural fabrics."

You'll find fabrics like cotton, linen and twills on everything from capri pants to prairie skirts. And when it comes to color: There are plenty to choose from.

Erin Melican-Londos: "In the neutral tone family, beginning with chocolate brown and ending with white and all of those in between, all of the taupes and oatmeals and creamy beiges, everything in between encompasses a true neutral."

Whether it's a pair of camouflage capri pants or true religion twill jeans...Take it from nature, go neutral this season.

Erin Melican-Londos: "You don't need to do all beige head to toe or all white head to toe, you can kind of mix it up, and think a little bit Moroccan, a little bit of vintage."

Even colors like sage green and pale mangoes are considered neutrals, so don't rule them out.
