In South Florida, it's the must have accessory year round. But with so many sunglasses to choose from, it's hard to know which one to pick. In tonight's Fashion Forward, 7's Shireen Sandoval shows us the most stylish shades for summer.

WSVN--Lindsay Lohan likes the aviator look.

Jessica Simpson and Nicole Richie prefer their's bigger and bolder.

Helena Ulloa: "The trend is definitely large, very very retro inspired."

At i-designs in Coral Gables, get ready to take a trip back in time.

When it comes to sunglasses, large -- a la Jackie O -- are very in.

In fact, the more bug eyed, the better.

Helena Ulloa: "When we all started wearing these, we all felt that we looked like bugs. But it's all a matter of getting used to seeing yourself in these larger glasses. And after all, because they're larger and we live in Florida it does give you that added protection."

This year, you'll also see lots of color from stone detailing to touches of gold, you'll definitely be able to make your own statement.

Of course, you'll also be able to make a statement at Hollywood Eyes in downtown Hollywood.

Here, optometrist Dr. Barry Kay says you'll find plenty of shades that are both fun and functional.

Dr. Barry Kay: "We're always trying to protect the eyes from any UV damage, just as we try and protect our skin and other parts of our bodies, certainly the eyes, very important."

Important and extravegant.

Look for shades with Swarovski crystals or zebra prints along the sides.

Plus this season, almost every fashion designer has a signature pair from Gucci to Versace to these limited edition Fendis, which sell for a mere $1,000.

Dr. Barry Kay: "It's like jewelry and as I said, it's one of the first things people see, whether you've got 'em on your face or you've got them up on your head, um very popular accessory."

Dr. Kay says if you're looking for extra protection, you may also want to look into polarized glasses, which helps eliminate glare.
