Every woman knows what it's like to have a bad hair day. But now, there's finally a solution that's sensable and sensational. In tonight's Fashion Forward, 7's Shireen Sandoval shows us why headbands are turning heads coast to coast.

WSVN--Former American Idol Carrie Underwood wore a black one on this season's finale.

Julia Styles sports one in her summer thriller, "The Omen".

This summer, headbands are hot.

And it looks like the trend will take you into fall, where designers like John Galliano for Dior had them all over the runway.

Natalie Helen Otero: "Everybody loves them, they're great for the beach, they're great for everyday, nighttime, it's just all around a fun accessory. It's very hot right now."

At GBS Beauty in Aventura, I found out this season's most popular headbands are made of silk.

Look for them in everything from floral prints to tie-dyed to bohemian patterns.

It's a look, anyone can pull off.

Shireen Sandoval: "Now who can wear a headband? Is it for short hair and long hair?"

Natalie Helen Otero: "Everybody can wear them. Anybody and anybody. Especially when you want to hide your roots, when you're having a bad hair day."

While silk is the most popular fabric, crochet, cotton, mesh and linen are big sellers too as long as you wear bright colors.

Shireen Sandoval: "Ok, I'm a little apprehensive about wearing a headband but will you put one on me and show me how to do it?"

Natalie Helen Otero: "Sure, sure. Shireen: Ok, perfect, so I can wear my headband and my big glasses and pretend like I'm a movie star."

At B Fashion accessories at Dadeland Mall, you can also feel like a move star with this rainbow of choices.

Pipina Chediak: "Ok scarves and headbands are coming very very strong for this summer and they're coming in different colors different fabrics."

Plus here, you can pair your headband with jewelry, clothes, even shoes.

Look for long ones with hints of metallic gold and silver.

Or try on a traditional one with the always trendy black on white.

Pipina Chediak: "You can wear them for going to the gyms, you can wear them for night, for something very elegant, for everyday."

Plus, this season, headbands are longer then in the past, so they can also double as a scarf or belt.

That's two or three looks for the price of one.

Pipina Chediak: "You can wrap the all the scarf around your hair you can wear them as a pashmina as a shawl or you can put them around your waist. You can wear them all over."

Shireen Sandoval: "Both B Accessories and Gbs have locations all over South Florida."
