Fashion Forward: Shoes

WSVN--From Dorothy's ruby red slippers, to Cinderella's glass heel, for most women, these shoes are made for more than walkin'.

Kim Stone: "The styles are a lot fun and they're fresh."

At shoes to you in Southwest Miami-Dade, anything that glitters is gold this season.

To get a leg up, try wearing embellishments like tassels and animal prints.

Plus look for shoes in deep, rich colors, like red, browns and blacks.

And as for shape, round and round they go.

Kim Stone: "The toes are all round, but a bit tapered, they're not as round, they're a little bit more defined."

Now if you still want to stand out, wear a silk wrap skirt with red velvet pumps.

Or pair your favorite denim jeans with a ballet flat.

This season, designers are creating shoes that are not only beautiful but comfortable too.

Kim Stone: "With the platform because of the extra padding in the front, you can wear a very high heel and still have comfort. And with the heel being a little bit thicker this season, you can run around and look great and be comfortable."

At the new heel shoe lounge inside Rebel Boutique in Miami, you can also shoe shop till you drop.

Dey Lopez: "You still see the wedges are very hot. All the platforms, clogs are going to be big, flat boots, wedge boots, platforms again in boots."

Check out this lizard peep toe platform in satin and leather.

Or these clear heeled wedges with Swarovski crystals.

Whether it's metallic or snake skin, just make sure you add a touch of color.

Dey Lopez: "If you look at the stars, they're not just wearing matchy-matchy. They're always doing some pop of color even when you're doing a simplistic, chic look of all black or all navy you can pop in yellow you can do a fuchsia, you can do a red."

But don't forget for fall, boots are also back in.

Wear yours with a short sleeve shirt and denim short shorts.

Or pair the same outfit with a pair of clogs or dainty ballet slippers, you can't go wrong.

Dey Lopez: "You know, you can just change a shoe from a flat to a high heel with the same black dress and you're going to go from day to night."

Metallics and glitters are in this season, but look for them in earth tones.
