Fashion Forward: Belts

WSVN -- Christina Aguilera belts it out in her latest music video and we're not just talking about singing.

The pop star is wearing one of fall's most fashion forward accessories.

Jenna Kaplan: "Belts are huge, you can wear them high, you can wear them low, you can wear them skinny, you can wear them thick."

At the Jenna White Boutique in South Miami, belts are available from wide patent leather to plaid to suede.

But no matter what you pick, the right one can really show off your figure.

Jenna Kaplan: "It makes your waist look really, really little. They cinch you in, and it gives you a really great shape."

Plus they work with just about any outfit.

Wear a wide belt with a pair of shorts.

Or buckle up, cowboys, and try this one with a dress.

Jenna Kaplan: "If you want to wear a big shirt, you can blouse your shirt with your belt. If you want to wear a tight skirt, you can wear it up high and look cute. I mean they're really easy. They're very versatile, and they really can go with anything."

Belts are also big at Ginger Boutique in North Miami Beach.

But here, don't waste time worrying about what to put around your waist.

Patricia Pacheco: "Everything goes from suede to patent leather to woven, metallics, even chains, ribbons, anything goes."

Wear a thick one to work over a tunic or try a beaded vintage belt with a strapless dress instead. There are no rules.

Patricia Pacheco: "A dressier belt can dress up an outfit at night, and a more casual belt, like a woven belt low, is great for daytime with sandals or with, you know, wedges."

So many options, so little money. What's a girl to do?

Patricia Pacheco: "If you had to pick one belt for this season I would choose a wide belt, big buckle, something that fits you snug in your high waist, and any color is fine as long as it's high buckle, high waist."
