Fashion Forward: Red

WSVN -- It's the big man's favorite color, and we're not talking about Shaquille O'Neal.

But you don't have to be Santa to wear red this season.

It's a color that looks good on just about everyone.

Caroline Dadlani: "Red is really in for the Holidays."

At the Caroline Dadlani Boutique on South Beach, you'll find plenty of pops of red.

Caroline says it's a great color, but you don't want to wear too much of it.

Caroline Dadlani: "It's a color that's great for an accent. I think it's such a bold color. It's difficult to carry it off."

And there are plenty of shades to choose from.

Look for burgundies or bright reds, like this beaded top paired with a black velvet skirt.

Or go for a fire-red top with a patterned mini.

Caroline loves the color so much she even uses it in the jewelry she designs.

Caroline Dadlani: "As a designer, I love to use red in my pieces. I think that all the jewel-tones of red - the rubies, the tourmalines, the spinels. They're just unbelievable."

At 5809 Boutique in South Miami, red is the new black.

This winter, look for the color in just about every piece of clothing.

Susan Schaffer: "I'm seeing red in mostly tops, jackets, sweaters, T-shirts, not too much on the bottoms, unless it's a plaid or a print."

That's because you should avoid wearing red head to toe.

Instead, try a red Debra Deroo sweater over jeans.

Or wear a jacket with hints of the color.

Susan Schaffer: "It's a color that looks well on everybody. It's bright, it's cheerful and, as you get into December, it reminds you that the holidays are approaching, and it's festive."

And if you don't want to wear red clothes, you can always look trendy by putting on a nice coat of red lipstick.

It's a color that's always fashion forward.

Susan Schaffer: "Red never goes out of style, it's classic, it's timeless, it's a good color."

Diana Diaz: "Don't forget your red accessories, like handbags, shawls and jewelry."
