All Fashion Forward

Being pregnant doesn't mean you have to look frumpy, and you don't have to dress your kids that way either. New moms, now both you and baby can keep one step ahead of the trends. Diana Diaz shows us how in tonight's Fashion Forward.

WSVN -- Gwen Stefani carries baby Kingston around in a black and white one.

Angelina Jolie's son likes the punk look.

But your little star doesn't have to be a celebrity to wear the latest in baby and toddler accessories.

Vivian Conterio: "We want to be a very hip store where moms feel comfortable, and they don't have to give up on their style or their sense of style."

At Hip Mama Couture in Southwest Miami-Dade, you can find trendy outfits for you and your baby.

The store carries the most popular labels, like habitual jeans in maternity sizes.

From personalized diaper bags that look more like purses to dressing up the little one with matching accessories, it's all about style.

Vivian Conterio: "You're going to find very different things, hand-made things and really fun little outfits for the babies."

This season, the baby briefcase is a big seller.

So are these ballerina socks.

And, dads, don't feel left out, go camouflage with this diaper bag in disguise.

Vivian Conterio: "It's not the Winnie the Pooh covers anymore. Now you have the Pucci prints, and you have these beautiful bright colors on things."

Women have been doing it for centuries, carrying baby around like a kangaroo.

But now, this season, sporting your little one in an Oopa Baby Sling is very fashion forward.

And this hot accessory is designed and made right here in South Florida.

Amy Abreu: "We're particularly well known for our silk chanton, which makes an unbelievably comfortable, show-stopping, gorgeous sort of fashion statement."

The slings are made in everything from cotton to luxurious fabrics like silk and cashmere.

They come in all colors and patterns.

Plus, many have matching diaper covers and baby bandanas.

In fact, Amy's designs are so well known Katie Holmes, Angelina Jolie and Brooke Shields own one.

That's because they're not just fashionable but functional.

Amy Abreu: "Slinging and baby-wearing in general, together with breast feeding, seem to really have caught fire lately, and celebrities a lot of times sort of lead or make the most statement."

So whether you're having a baby or just want to dress your little one up, there are plenty of fashionable finds to choose from.

Amy Abreu: "It something fashion forward, and fun and funky and sexy, for moms."

Diana Diaz: "The Oopa Baby Sling can hold up to a 35-pound toddler."
