An historic Miami Hotel is getting a fashion makeover literally. A unique boutique has opened its doors at the Vagabond Motel. Seven's Diana Diaz shows us in tonight's Fashion Forward.

WSVN -- It's been an infamous local landmark on Biscayne Boulevard for more than half a century.

Now, the Vagabond Motel is transforming into a fashion hot spot.

Check out The Transit Shop, a chic boutique which offers international brands for both men and women!

"I love the clothes because they are so comfortable to wear."

Owners Margaretha Silverman and her husband are designer veterans from Hugo Boss and Dolce and Gabbana.

She describes The Transit line as "way of life" clothing, putting together classic pieces without following the trends.

Margaretha Silverman: "Nobody dresses up today, even if you work in an office. You really don't have to wear a suit. Even for women they don't. They can wear a nice skirt and a nice top."

Like this sheer white, embroidered blouse with a crisp white pencil skirt. Pair it with a leather canvas tote and a pair of jeweled flip flops for a casual look.

Fall into spring with a flowy, floral silk dress, or dress it up in this black lace overlay dress straight from London.

Margaretha Silverman: "I would wear that dressed up to any gala event with high heels, and then I would put it on with a flat black sandal, and wear it going for lunch."

Don't worry guys, you won't be left out when it comes to these classic looks -- like a black linen, knit shirt with white capris.

This white linen, button-down and black pin-striped jacket go casual with a pair of leather sandals.

Or roll up your sleeves in a striped, button-down shirt with white pants. Add a canvas and leather shoulder bag instead of a stiff briefcase.

And Transit promises not to take you to the cleaners.

Margaretha Silverman: "They're garment-dyed and pre-washed, which means, if you buy something in linen, you can just put it in the machine, hang it up and wear it."

Transit also carries bathing suits and cover-ups, perfect with a pair of aviator shades and a zebra-striped bag for all your beach essentials.

And while the pool at the Vagabond may still be under construction, the new owners say soon the motel will be a hip place to hang out.

Margaretha Silverman: "So it's going to be the Mimo bar, which will be an amazing place just to go and hang out and listen to music and have a drink and sit."

The renovations to the Vagabond Motel should be complete within a year.
