In the summer heat, it can be hard to feel flirty and feminine. But in tonight's Fashion Forward, Seven's Diana Diaz shows us how one new trend will keep you looking as pretty as a flower all summer long.
WSVN-- Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, and Carrie Underwood are just a few of the celebs showing their softer side this summer by going for anything floral. And IOS Boutique in Coconut Grove, is one store helping shoppers spring ahead with a new trend in summer fashion.
Audra Cherry: "There are a lot of big bold patterns from the seventies, the hippie patterns, like the vintage florals in muted colors, and bright big floral prints."
Keep it short with a sunny chiffon dress by Eleven Eleven, or go full bloom with this floral t-bags jumpsuit, and lightweight fabrics can can keep you smelling like roses, even in the South Florida Heat.
Audra Cherry: "Chiffon prints, we're seeing a lot of the stretchy cottons, that are coming out right now which are very light weight nice and easy to wear here."
Remember to keep it simple. You don't have to wear a bouquet to get the look.
Audra Cherry: "Whether you wear it from head to toe or just with a little bit of a contrast on the sleeve, and only you know that it's there, it's something special for you, its a girl moment."
Another place giving off that flowery vibe is Aura Boutique on Miracle Mile.
Jallyn de Leon: "We saw a lot of bold stripes, solid colors, and metallics in the past few seasons and now women are, I think wanting something a little more feminine."
This blue chiffon dress helps you get in touch with your feminine, or this Grecian-inspired short dress accented with a gold headband and floral stamped leather heels. To blossom during the day, pair a floral top with some cuffed shorts, but when it's time to take your look into the evening.
Jallyn de Leon: "I think it's all about the accesories. You can definitely take a print and if you wear some heels and some jewelry you can dress it up at night."
However you decide to wear the look, just remember, less is usually more.
Diana Diaz: "And keep in mind, the busier the print, the bigger you will look. So make sure you get the right floral print for your body type. If you're a bit on the heavier side, you want to go for smaller simple prints."
