So you're not traveling on an African safari this summer? No problem, you can still dress the part. The Nightteam's Diana Diaz getting the call of the wild in tonight's Fashion Forward.
WSVN -- Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! The good news is you don't have to live in the wild to enjoy one of the hottest fashion trends this season.
Katharine Rubino: "Well, this season you're going to see a lot of animal print detailing, from dresses to handbags to shoes."
Neiman Marcus at Merrick Park is hearing the call of the wild with these leopard-print pants teamed up with a black corset top. Or go safari chic with this zebra-inspired dress by Milly, paired with chocolate Christian Loboutin pumps.
The trick is not to go overboard, tame it down by wearing a solid dress with just a hint of print.
Katharine Rubino: "If you have a plain black dress, you can update it with an animal print scarf or some animal print shoes, and it instantly updates a look."
Catch the safari-resort look in this Chiffon leopard-print shirt with a high-wasted pencil skirt. Or get ready for a wild night with this zebra-print Michael Kors dress with a pair of black Prada suede boots and a Python bag.
Katharine Rubino: "I think the great thing about animal prints too is that they can go from sexy to actually very sophisticated, a chic dress."
The safari goes casual at Transit Shop in Miami where the key is looking great and keeping cool.
Margaretha Silverman: "I think you can wear it anywhere, it's something that's comfortable, especially if it's hot it's perfect for Miami."
Try a pair of cuffed linen shorts with a cotton jacket and a pair of linen boots. They look hot but keep your feet cool. A safari-style jacket is a must for any wardrobe because it takes you from season to season.
Margaretha Silverman: "You can wear it with anything, your jeans. You can wear it over a dress. You can wear it with a great little skirt. You can wear it with anything."
Go bold in this leopard, silk tunic over white linen shorts. It can dress up any look. Guys, let your inner-style roar with this Z-Brand tee and white capris. Stick to fabrics like cotton and linen, and, when it comes to colors, keep them subdued.
Margaretha Silverman: "You stay more to the khakis, like the green khakis and the beige khakis and white."
No matter how you wear the look, you'll be ready for a wild ride!
Diana Diaz: "And you can spice up the look even more by adding some color, like a bold necklace or maybe a bright woven bag."
