All Fashion Forward

Hundreds of the hottest designers were in South Florida this week showing off the latest looks to soon hit a store near you! The Nightteam's Diana Diaz got a sneak peek in tonight's Fashion Forward.

WSVN -- Want to get a jump on some of the hottest looks for fall and even spring of next year? We did, so we stopped at the Townhouse Hotel on South Beach for a private preview of this year's Trafik Trade Show!

James Costa, Show Director/Designer: "Vendors come in, set up their collections for fall as ready goods or for spring and show those to buyers from all around the world, actually."

Three hundred of the top designers in the country were in town showing off their collections at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

James Costa: "Metallics are going to be real big. Metallic gold foiling, hardware you'll see on a lot of women's dresses. On cargo pants you'll see a lot of pockets and zippers."

For a casual look you can kick back in these green khaki cargo pants with a cool tank and white belt.

For him? Slip on a crew-neck graphic tee and a pair of military-style cargo shorts.

For guys, this upcoming season, the rocker look cleans up its image.

James Costa: "Slimmer silhouettes, collars, stripes, rugby stripes but with a little bit of an edge."

Take the stuffiness out of a button-down shirt by pairing it with gray rugby shorts.

Or go nautical in this navy and white striped polo with khaki shorts.

For the ladies, dress it up in a dress-- just make sure it's short, like this teal tank dress with a bubble hem.

Or shine in this sequined mini-halter with a silk chiffon wrap.

You can lounge in style in this silk charmeuse slip dress with braided straps.

Think very feminine but still sexy!

James Costa: "Laced-up, snaps, ribbons, kind of that more casual but sexy look."

And South Florida is looking good in the spotlight as a fashion mecca!

James Costa: "It seemed like a perfect fit. The southeast needed a show, and it's now comparable to New York and L.A. because the draw is here. It's such an international city."

The Trafik Trade Show just celebrated its fourth year and is open to buyers and designers.
