All Fashion Forward

We know it's about 90 degrees outside, but that doesn't mean we can't start wearing some of the new fall trends, and you don't have to put away those summer tank tops and shorts to be fashionable for fall. The Nightteam's Diana Diaz taking us Fashion Forward.

WSVN -- OK, it's hot, and we're still lounging on the beach in swimsuits, but that doesn't mean we can't dive into fall fashion.

At Studio LX in South Miami, making your wardrobe move from summer into fall is as easy as adding a few key pieces.

Alexandra Luis: "Unfortunately, we can't do the high fashion that they do in New York with the wool and the fur. But we can incorporate many of the leathers and cashmere little sweaters over many of our outfits."

Don't ditch those summer dresses, like this metallic silver one. Just replace your sandals with pumps and add a cashmere argyle hoodie for a crisp fall look or try a printed dress and a trip back to the 80s with one of the hottest trends of the season: knee-highs and a pair of pumps.

And remember, South Floridians, you can still wear your summer whites.

Alexandra Luis: "For that winter-white look, it's great to wear those white pants with a pump. You can also try a cashmere sweater or jacket on top."

A little leather gives a summer outfit a fall touch, like this Dolce and Gabana vest over a sheer halter-top and skinny jeans or this white leather jacket over a sexy black dress.

Ladies, keep your shorts handy. Just trade the T-shirt for a button-down blouse and a skinny belt and keep in mind the color-code this season.

Alexandra Luis: "For fall there's a lot of purples, grays, metallic especially, and that's great because it's not all black and brown, what people expect."

At Oyuki's new Miami store, taking the plunge into fall means adding some bold accessories.

Giovanna Paramo: "It's important if you're wearing a skirt or a great dress. You can just add a good accessory and boots."

Check out this peasant-style black tunic dress with a crocheted neckline. Add boots and a long red necklace for a wintery look. Dress up a tank top and jeans with a cream-colored cardigan, a big funky necklace and a brown leather handbag.

Your summer capris get flashy with this sizzling fall trend. A sequined camisole in eggplant or a purple poncho over jeans and a dazzling gold and emerald necklace.

Giovanna Paramo: "This season we're going to have more flowy, more feminine dresses."

So whether it's a dress with boots or denim shorts with a dressy blouse transitioning your wardrobe from summer to fall is all in the details.

Diana Diaz: "The key pieces you can buy now: a lightweight cardigan, a leather vest or cropped jacket and even a scarf."
