All Fashion Forward

OK ladies, it's time to update that wardrobe for the new season. This spring, it's all about making a statement, without going overboard. The nightteam's Diana Diaz rolls out the hottest trends in tonight's Fashion Forward.

WSVN -- Spring is in the air, the flowers are in full bloom and so is the fashion.

At shop Daja in Fort Lauderdale, the trends for spring go from bling to a bit more toned down.

Danielle Filler: "This season for spring there's many different looks they're showing on the runway, for example everything is muted down."

When it comes to color, don't go head to toe. Just add a splash like this hot pink blouse under a white blazer with black jeans, another hot trend this season and a good investment for your wardrobe!

Danielle Filler: "It's timeless, you can always wear black or white and look sharp, look sophisticated, but especially for spring, be fashion forward."

Good news girls, skinny jeans are still in, but wide-legged trouser jeans are taking over the runways and stores, perfect when paired with this sunny-yellow cropped jacket by Mint.

Embellishments are big, but instead of studs or crystals we're seeing a more muted look.

Danielle Filler: "Very nice handmade looking buttons on the collar, they blend a little bit more, they're not so bright and bold and out there."

Speaking of out there, the Safari look is back but think earthy tones over animal prints, which works well with another hot trend for spring, Bohemian chic.

Danielle Filler: "Use a relaxed classic jean or trouser, with a more fun funky top, or safari top or geometric, but don't go head to toe."

If you're a little more daring you can go sheer for a flirty, feminine look.

Danielle Filler: "It doesn't mean show your bra necessarily through your top, but it's just a very delicate, soft fabric."

Geometric prints stand out, ke this colorful dress by Mara Hauffman. And metallics are always hot but instead of shiny think more subtle.

Danielle Filler: "So pick the trend that works for you so you feel comfortable wearing it but make sure you always tone it down this season."

Diana Diaz: Another hot trend for spring, have fun with jewelry! Add a bold necklace or a big ring for extra sparkle! To find out where to get these fresh looks.
