Spring is in full bloom and that means it's time to add some color to your closet! The Nightteam's Diana Diaz shows us how to brighten up our wardrobe, as we go Fashion Forward!
WSVN -- The stars brought a rainbow of color to the red carpet at this year's Academy Awards show. And at Macy's at Aventura Mall, you can channel the celebrities with looks in this season's hottest hues.
Melissa Goff: "Nothing gets you in the mood to be happy, to add newness to your wardrobe, than bright color."
You'll feel bright and happy in this neon green cropped jacket by Nine West over a white tank and wide-legged pants.
Trench coats are a big trend right now, especially in fuchsia, with white trousers and matching heels.
Believe it or not, using white is a good way to infuse color into your wardrobe.
Melissa Goff: "Whether it's a white wide-legged pant, white Bermuda shorts, white capri, pair it up with white."
Spring into the season with this yellow chiffon pleated dress, complete with beaded detail on the neckline.
Or slip on this '60s-inspired print mini with pockets. You might think you're seeing spots in a green sundress with white polka-dots.
You can even add a pop to your outfit with a bright bangle.
The idea is to have fun with color without going overboard.
Melissa Goff: "You don't want the ears, the dress, the shoes, you don't want to go that matchy-matchy. That could have a tendency to be a color shock."
At toffmiami.com, an on-line boutique, color goes from chic to a little edgy.
Juan Carlos Cajigas: "We're having a little more of punk, a lot of neon and we're having a little bit more of not-so-perfect fashion."
Make a statement in a multi-colored top in shades of orange, yellow and blue, over a purple satin mini, from the owner's own line, Claudia E.
Blue is big, like this satin aqua shift-dress with a floral print. Go sexy in a blue-tunic with a low-plunging neckline.
Or blossom in a satin summer dress in shades of blue, pink, purple and yellow.
Juan Carlos Cajigas: "We see the neon, we're seeing a lot of bold color expressions, we're mixing things that almost look like graffiti."
Metallics keep on shining in this bronze shift-dress paired with a colorful necklace, or add a splash of color to a teal tunic with a big yellow bag. The trick is to pair a bright with a neutral.
Juan Carlos Cajigas: "Against a brown, against a beige, against a purple, against a gold color."
Jewelry is also going big and bright in tropical colors like lime, orange, mango and lemon!
