Believe it or not, adults aren't the only ones into fashion. Kids like to look good too! The Nightteam's Lynn Martinez finds the coolest looks for kids in tonight's Fashion Forward.
WSVN -- Just because kids love to run, play and get dirty, doesn't mean they don't like to look good.
At Industry in Aventura, looking good comes easy for these kids.
Lynn Martinez: "So, what do you think of your clothes?
Kid: "Good."
Lynn Martinez: "Oh, come on! You have to give me more than that. Do you like them? Are they comfortable? Are they yucky? Do you wear them because your mom says you have to?"
Kid: "Comfortable!"
Boys will feel real comfy in a pair of gray cargo shorts and orange vintage T, or roar into fashion in an Ed Hardy tiger tee with red and blue surfer shorts, and Havainas flip flops.
Lynn Martinez: "These are so cute. If they only fit me. I don't think so, right?"
Girls will look pretty as a picture in this silk charmeuse floral print dress with a pair of metallic ballet flats.
She will just love this black and white halter dress by Zoie or go retro in a vintage rocker tee sundress and flip flops.
Lynn Martinez: "When you put something on that you feel good in how does it make you feel?"
Girl: "That I want to buy it badly."
Lynn Martinez: "Honey, that will stay with you the rest of your life."
Your kids will be ready for summer in True Religion jean shorts and a tank top. Surfs up in a pair of Hawaiian print shorts and vintage T. Peace is the word in a graphic T, white denim mini and black rubber boots! But owners Lisi and Shari say it's not about the designer label, it's about making kids feel special.
Shari Schwartz: "We really just try to please and make sure the styles are good for the kids and make them feel special because everybody's different."
At the Children's Place in Pembroke Pines, kids are really springing into the season's fresh new looks.
Carmen O'Connor: "It's very clean, very preppy. Plaid is really important, patchwork is really important."
Boys will be too cool for school in a patchwork blazer over a white oxford; don't forget the aviator shades.
Girls look great in a short-sleeved henley sweater with matching capris in one of the season's hottest hues.
Preppy is the word in an argyle sweater over a polo and washable linen pants.
Your little one will look like a princess in a black and white sundress, complete with a pearl headband and matching purse.
Carmen O'Connor: "A lot of the girls' dresses they have a lot of twirl, a lot of twirl factor."
Another big trend for both boys and girls this season? Layering either colorful polos or sweater vests.
Carmen O'Connor: "There's a lot of solid sweatervests, which really cultivates that preppy look."
Once again, kids, the big trends for you this season are metallics, black and white, bright colors and really anything that makes you feel good.
