Ladies, we all see the amazing and sometimes outrageous looks on the fashion runways, so how can we pull off the top trends? The Nightteam's Diana Diaz takes us from the runway to reality in tonight's Fashion Forward.
WSVN -- Girls, if you don't think you can conquer the looks you see on the fashion runways, think again.
Ali Filler: "The intention of the designer is to make it over-the-top, so that something sticks in your head that you're going to take away with you."
At Shop Daja in Fort Lauderdale, the idea is to pick one top trend, without going over-the-top.
Ali Filler: "Take one look or one style that you like and think, 'How can I tone that down so that it's more flattering, more everyday, more practical?'"
You don't have to go overboard with the nautical look. Simply slip on a sailor pant like these in navy and pair it up with a muted, striped top under a colorful tank.
The cut-out look is all over the runways this season, but it's too revealing for most of us.
So tone it down in this adorable black short jumpsuit to show you've got style.
Metallics continue to shine, but you don't have to look like aluminum foil. Pick one piece and keep the rest simple.
Danielle Filler: "Make sure if you're going to incorporate metallics, do a basic pump, a basic jacket, like we showed."
Rock out without looking like you just stepped off the tour bus, layering a sweatshirt over a black tank and white denim.
Or chill out in a printed T over wide-legged jeans. Add a couple of beaded necklaces and over-sized shades.
High-waisted pants can be figure-flattering with a simple tank and gold chains. But it was the 70s psychedelic look, that could be spotted from London to New York. How to make it work for you? Don't go head to toe!
Ali Filler: "We picked a simple tunic dress and long sleeves. Have fun with lots of color but no crazy bold tights."
So ladies, don't fear the latest fashions! Check out the hottest trends from around the globe, pick a look you love, and tone it down.
Ali Filler: "You're going to pull what you can relate to, and that's how you're going to wear it, with confidence, and you're going to wear it well."
Of course, no matter what trend you choose, make sure you feel good in it and that it's right for your body-type.
