Fashion Forward: Bras
It used to be the only person who could sneak a peak at a woman's lingerie was their significant other. But nowadays, ladies are revealing a little more skin. In tonight's Fashion Forward, Shireen Sandoval shows us how to turn your innerwear into outerwear.
Gwen Stefani signing: "I ain't no holla back girl."
WSVN--Gwen Stefani dares to bare it all. So does Jessica Simpson. This season wearing your lingerie to go out... Is very in.
Brooke Melzer of Cosabella: "It's definitely okay to wear your lingerie out, daytime or nighttime.
At Cosabella at the falls, there are plenty of bras and camisoles to choose from.
The Miami-based lingerie company has been around for 23 years but just recently became a celebrity favorite.
Brooke Melzer: "Every celebrity in Hollywood loves Cosabella and can't live without it, from Jessica Simpson to the girls of Sex and the City, to Courtney Cox Arquette you name it they wear it."
Pair a black velvet cami with some jeans... Or dress up your denim with an embellished black bustier.
Brooke Melzer: "Details for fall are very important. You're looking at embroidery, you're looking at sequins, you're looking at intricate laces."
Stick to colors like dark chocolates, ruby, and deep purple. You can also look pretty in pink in this pair of functional pajamas, which double for a night out on the town.
Brooke Melzer: "You can have a T-shirt and have your bra strap showing but the one thing you don't want to do is have your thong strap show out of the top of your pants, that's the absolutely etiquette no-no for lingerie."
At Bellezza spa and salon, sexy lingerie you can wear out is also a must.
VP Of Merchandising for Ongossamer Hayley Denman: "It's just all about fun and having a really great time with lingerie."
One of the salon's most popular lines Ongossamer offers everything from a basic bra to beautiful bustiers... Which are a hit with celebrities like Jessica Simpson.
But be sure to choose the right size. Eight out of ten women wear the wrong size bra.
Hayley Denman: "If a bra is worn correctly it should be worn low on your back and the straps are worn at a nice length. If you pull your straps too high up you're going to get a lower bustline rather then a higher bustline."
Once you've found the right fit, don't be afraid to show it off. From a pretty tank to a satin, quilted bustier, you can pair lingerie with just about anything.
Hayley Denman: "You can wear a blouse, you can maybe leave a button or two open for that little peek-a-boo look, so that's really what Ongossamer did for the fall season."
So ladies, instead of burning your bra, why not wear it with confidence!!!!!!!!
Now, if you want help finding the perfect bra for your bustline, the gap body will have a bra bar all day this Wednesday at the Aventura Mall. One of the experts on hand will be Angelina Jolie's stylist.
