Believe it or not, this is officially the last week of summer. And while the temperatures may not feel fall-like, if you want to stay Fashion Forward, you've got to follow the trends. Tonight, Shireen Sandoval shows us you don't have to get rid of your entire summer wardrobe to still be in style.
WSVN -- Short jackets made of luxurious fabrics. Romantic blouses. And plenty of black. They're among the hottest looks for fall from fashion powerhouses like Giorgio Armani and Escada. But to get the look you don't have to clean out your entire closet. At Neiman Marcus at the Village of Merrick Park, it's easy to combine summer's best with the latest in fall fashion.
Neiman Marcus PR Manager Katharine Rubino: "You don't have to throw out your wardrobe. You can take the pieces that you already have but add a boot to it, add a necklace to it, add a velvet jacket to it."
Camisole, cropped pant, and sandal together for summer. But to change the look for fall, throw on a military jacket here's how. Pair this satin and a pair of boots. Now this summer outfit is a look you'll fall for.
Katharine Rubino: "For fall the key pieces are sort of the more luxurious fabrics like velvet, leathers and that can be paired back with even like a cropped jean."
You should also look for clothing with embellishments, embroidery and metallic details.
Katharine Rubino: "You've got to have a little black dress if you don't already have one. To translate it to fall, throw on a long necklace with it."
At Rebel Boutique in Miami, they've got all of falls must haves. This summer, sleeveless tanks, jeans and t-strap sandals were all the rage. For fall, use the same jeans, but warm up the look with a long sleeved shirt, boots and a big bag.
Katharine Rubino: "You can take it from summer to fall with that look by changing the top or the shoes."
Don't throw out your mini skirt either. For fall, update the look with a sweater, long necklace and boots. So no matter if it's a dress or your favorite jeans, it's all about using what you've got in your closet.
Katharine Rubino: "What you do is you take your basic wardrobe for that season and you adjust it by bringing in the colors or putting in the new punches of what's happening right now."
And the best way to update any outfit is to accessorize.
