Fashion Forward: Terry Cloth Trend

There was a time terry cloth was just for towels and bathrobes, but not anymore. Terry is coming out of the bathroom and onto the street.

Amy Eberson, Livin' la vida Terry, says "They're breathable and if you sweat it dries em up like a towel and look how cute they look what else do you want..."

Stores like En Avance on South Beach carry a full line of terry cloth stuff. They feature juicy coutore pieces you can mix and match.

And even have cute terry flip flops you can wear all summer long. Nelly Furtado and Jennifer Lopez have both been terry clad in their recent videos.

Speaking of Jennifer she's got everything from red terry jumpsuits to zip up jackets and even pants in her J-Lo line and she's not the only designer working the trend at Burdines.

Baby Phat features skimpy little terry tops and pants, while Polo by Ralph Lauren does more of an athletic look.

But guys even you can get your fashion game on with Sean John and Tommy Hilfiger. Just some of the lines cashing in on this terry trend.

Melissa Goff, Burdines, says "The new technology is much better now. It's not like wearing a 100 percent cotton terry towel. It does absorb and it wicks the perspiration away from your body much the same as the hardcore athletic gear basically does too."
