Nothing fits like an old pair of sneakers. When we say old we mean old as in retro.

(WSVN) Sure they look high tech but when it comes to cool kicks it's all about the classics...

Pumas...Adidas...Converse high tops...sometimes you gotta go backwards to be fashion forward.

Danny Waserstein, Old School Cool, says "The companies stopped making them so what' they're doing is they're going back in they're own closets and they're taking out all the old retro shoes and making them over again.."

Take these classic adidas basketball shoes first introduced in 1969. Today the stripes come in all kinds of funky colors and even reflecting stripes.

Remember Pro Keds? -- Now they come in bright colors like yellow.

What about a classic Reebok high top.

The retro looks are pretty simple -- the shoes have flat bottoms with a few stripes. And if you're gonna get the look why not get it at the Shoe Gallery in Downtown Miami.

If this place is good enough for Missy Elliot and Lenny Kravitz it's good enough for you.

"We are seeing people from 15 all the way to 30. There's no real age bracket people just want to wear retro shoes...15 - 30 that would be me..."

Burdines is also getting in on the old school action. They carry Sketcher's retro collection in suede and leather looks.

Tommy Hilfiger's version of retro sneaks and the new and improved keds complete with red laces for a little extra jazz.

It's all about old school.

Another thing is price with the retro shoes. it's affordable and they make them in fun colors and they can match it up with all the clothing.
