Parents love it. Kids hate it. It's back to school time and no one wants to look like their mother dressed them.

(WSVN) Sure they're just kids, but when it comes to wardrobe they know what they want.

Wyatt Melzer, a shopper, says "I like wearing baggy clothes to school you know baggy shorts baggy shirts baggy everything.."

Burdines has the back to school baggy look for the boys.

And the Barbie collection for your little dolls.

The pre-teens giving you a hard time at the store?

Denim is always do-able, the fellas always go for the Sean John Collection no matter what their age.

And the hippie chic look works for all the chicadees.

Melissa Goff, Burdines, says " What's great about back to school this year is most of the parents and the kids love the fashion trends that are going on..."

Looking for a back to school bargain. Then head to Plato's Closet in Coral Springs.

They buy and sell what they call gently used brand name teen clothing and accessories.

And they've got it all.

Steve Africk, Plato's Closet, says "We sell all top brands from Amercrombie and Fitch, Banana Republic, Express, Limited, Steve Madden all the urban brands as well and all the kids can come in to buy that stuff for 60 - 70 percent below price at the mall.."

The premise is simple - bring in your stuff in good shape.

The staff'll look it over and if you've got the goods, you'll get cash on the spot and the shoppers get a bargain when it ends up on the racks.

Tara Pugatch, a Plato's Closet Customer, says "It's stuff that I outgrow that doesn't fit me. It's not that it's bad clothes they just don't fit me anymore..."
