Want to put your best face forward... then update your make-up. Fashion looks change with every season so why shouldn't your makeup?
(WSVN) The eyes have it...
Smoky eyes were all over the runways for fall...but there's no need to have it be this dramatic.
We caught up with Edwin Guerrero of Yves St. Laurent at Neiman Marcus in Bal Harbour.
Edwin Guerrero, Make-up Man, says "What I mean by a smoky eyes, mean a deeper warmer colors placed on the eyelid creating more depth and definetly it gives a more sensual more alluring look to the color.."
What you want to do is start with a liner -- believe or not the big seller at YSL is their emerald green eyeliner.
Next apply a golden brown over the lower lid.
Then darker fig right above it.
Then dab their rust color in the crease and blend it up to the brow bone.
For the smoky look use ysl's fig plum shadow for liner.
Line the lips.
Fill them in with a nice berry stain.
It looks dark in the tube but it goes on quite nicely...
Now you're done but not overdone.
"Don't be alarmed it's only me without make-up..."
But when it comes to face time the latest way to apply make-up is airbrushing.
Waterbased, oil free makeup goes in an airbrush gun and then it gets sprayed on your face.
It's feels very lightweight and you end up with an even flawless look -- the only thing is it's got to be done by a professional.
Angela McCambridge, Airbrush Artist, says "There's a special technique to it and there's a special way you apply it with distance and pressure and you kind of need to know what you're doing.."
