Fashion Forward: Fashion Fighting Breast Cancer

That's how much the world of high fashion has helped raise over the past 3 years with the Fashion Targets Breast Cancer Campaign...

And once again Saks Fifth avenue and the Council of Fashion Designers of America is teaming up to host the fourth annual Fashion Targets Breast Cancer shopping weekend.

"Saks Fifth Avenue is a women's company, 80 percent of our customers are female, 75 percent of our workforce is female. What better than Saks Fifth Avenue sponsoring such an important cause that relates to women everywhere..."

From September 18th through the 21st Saks stores nationwide will donate a percentage of their sales to local and national breast cancer charities... and designers like Betsey Johnson have personal reasons for getting involved.

She says, "I got involved in this campaign in a very big way in that I had breast cancer much to my surprise an implant burst and there was my little tumor and so breast cancer became very important to me..."

It's an initiative supermodel Iman is passionate about.

Iman says, "I think it is my responsibility as a woman to be part of an organization such as this, as we need to discuss openly, freely with young girls the importance of mammograms and early detection and all that comes with it..."
