Fashion Forward: Roberto Cavalli
Maybe you're not a rock star but you can dress like one with a little help from Roberto Cavalli. And now the Italian designer is bringing a little glamour to South Florida and it's all for a good cause.
(WSVN) His designs are the epitome of rock and roll chic. Roberto Cavalli is the man who put patchwork and printed leather on the fashion map back in the 70's and today many imitate but few can duplicate his signature looks.
Roberto Cavalli, Designer, says "Everybody after they make the same they try to copy but anyway the most important is to be the first one..."
That's why celebrities like Jennifer Lopez, Lenny Kravitz, Enrique Iglesias and Britney Spears all wear his designs.
"Do you have a favorite celebrity that you dress all of them I don't like to talk about names.. smart man. I love all of them."
Supermodel Cindy Crawford loved Roberto enough to hit the runway for his fall winter collection.
"Cindy is the most charming woman I ever met in my life more charming than me never absolutely never..."
It's women like Cindy who serve as inspiration for Roberto's glam designs.
Tight dresses, bold prints, pencil skirts, animal prints and the highest heels there's nothing less is more about Cavalli.
"I start to think how I would like to see my girlfriend or maybe one girl that I love in which way in which color..."
And now the master of the rock and roll runway is headed to South Florida for a fashion event to benefit the Jackson Memorial Foundation.
"I like to be here and to show what I am able to do with my art for the first time here in Miami that is one of the most beautiful places in the world..."
The Roberto Cavalli fashion event is November 1st.
