The company is trying to update this classic piece of Americana.

What better way to give the recliner a facelift than by using top designers.

Tommy Hilfiger did one in his trademark red, white and blue.

Cynthia Rowley did a pink La-z girl and John Bartlett gave his an industrial look using wood and egg carton foam.

Designer, John Bartlett, says "It is very functional but I created it sort of as an art piece because when I created it I didn't know if it would work or not but it's very comfortable."

And these days it seems comfort is key as more and more people are staying at home.

Joy Haizen, Joy & Jake's, says "People are staying more at home entertaining in their household and they want their place to reflect the trends that they're wearing on their body."
