FTAA: Planned Protest March
On November 20, 2003 protest organizers are planning a march through parts of Downtown. The march is scheduled to begin at 1400 hours. The march will start at Bayfront Park. Marchers will leave the park, traveling northbound in the northbound lanes of Biscayne Boulevard. The march will travel north to S.E. 4th Street. At 4th Street, the marcher will make a U-Turn and proceed south on Biscayne Boulevard in the southbound lanes to 3rd Street.
At 3rd Street, marchers will travel west to N.E. 1st Avenue. At 1st Avenue, marchers will turn right and travel north to 6th Street. At 6th Street, marchers will go west to N.W. 2nd Avenue. At 2nd Avenue, marchers will travel south to N.W. 3rd Street. At 3rd Street, marchers will go east to N.W. 1st Avenue. At 1st Avenue, marchers will go south to N.W. 2nd Street. Once at 2nd Street, marchers will go east to Biscayne Boulevard. At Biscayne Boulevard, marchers will go south to East Flagler Street. At Flagler Street, marchers will make a U-Turn and go north on Biscayne Boulevard in the northbound lanes.
The march will terminate at the entrance to Bayfront Park, approximately 2nd Street.
Assisted by traffic officers posted along the route, Miami Motor Officers will control traffic and lead the march. Every effort will be made to keep traffic disruptions to a minimal.
