Gretta's Got It: Hostess
The holiday season has officially kicked off and that means lots of invites for parties. Being a good guest means coming with a gift in hand. Our style expert has some tips for you in Gretta's Got It.
WSVN -- Gretta Monahan: "It's that time of year again when you're invited to go over to many people's homes."
Rule number one: never go to a house without a gift. Rule number two: stock up on hostess gifts to save stress later.
Gretta Monahan: "Candles are classic, and you can never go wrong with them, but if you're sick of giving them, or people have pets and kids, a great alternative is this diffuser. It's safe, and it smells yummy."
Gretta Monahan: "Another great gift, catchy little kitchen items. Look at these little swizzle sticks. They're so simple, but they work. Also things like this, napkins, napkin holders, this is the stuff you always want to get."
Gretta Monahan: "And a gift that's always appreciated, the morning after gift. That is, gourmet coffee, hot chocolate, even muffins and bread mix. These are great gifts that your host can enjoy the day after."
Bringing the gift of flowers is a no-brainer, but once you find the perfect vase, the gift is long lasting.
Gretta Monahan: "And if you're an overnight guest, you've got to go all out. You can start with this natural bath basket. This is great. Sponges, body lotions, sponges, creams. This is the kind of thing hosts love to get."
Gretta Monahan: "And rule number three: remember presentation is everything. Make it personal. Pretty bags, nice jewelry. Perfect. This is the way you say thank you. I'm Gretta for Gretta's Got It."
