Hollywood and Dine: Beyonce's Painless Pasta
Archived Reports:
We all know Beyonce can heat up the stage but this sexy singer can also heat things up in the kitchen. We're cooking "Painless Pasta" in today's Hollywood and Dine.
Ingredients:
4 tbs. olive oil
3 tbs. unsalted butter
1/2 cup shallot or onion, minced
5 or 6 cloves garlic, minced
1 small carton (8 oz.) cherry or grape tomatoes
1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
1/4 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
fresh ground pepper
1 lb. linguine
1/4 lb. grated Romano cheese (you can use Parmesan as an alternative)
Instructions:
Drop linguine in boiling water. Give it a quick stir, so it doesn't stick together.
In a large saute or frying pan, over medium high heat, melt butter and oil. When bubbles subside, saute onions for six minutes.
Add garlic and cook one minute.
Add tomatoes.
Add pepper flakes, oregano and basil and cook one more minute.
Turn off heat.
When pasta is al dente (a little firm in middle), lift out of boiling water with tongs and drop in butter/garlic mixture.
Toss pasta to mix with sauce.
Add a ladle of the pasta water to the linguine (this will give the sauce a better consistency) and garnish with parsley.
Serve with grated Romano and fresh cracked pepper.
Enjoy!
