Hollywood and Dine: Jennifer Hudson's college meal
She's a former "Idol" contestant who went on to win an academy award. Now Jennifer Hudson is shooting a movie with Forest Whitaker. But, reporter David Moss still managed to get a recipe out of her that's super easy and tasty in today's "Hollywood and Dine."
Miscellaneous vegetables (mushrooms, carrots, tomatoes, spinach [whatever you have or like.])
2 1/2 cups water
Dash of soy sauce
1 room temperature egg, cracked open on saucer
Drop a few desired vegetables in water along with Ramen noodles.
Boil for three minutes.
Slide egg off of saucer into boiling noodles and remove from heat.
Wait one minute and add seasoning packet.
With a metal spoon, beat in seasoning breaking up egg and mixing yolk into soup.
You will end up with a richer broth and cooked egg whites in soup.
Add a dash of soy sauce and serve.
Optional: toss in a few raw shrimp with noodles or toss in cooked shrimp with flavor package.
Optional: dash of toasted sesame oil.
