Idol Insider: Full of Glee
You could say the Shue is on the move. Matthew Morrison, who plays Will Schuster on the hit show "Glee," says he's getting ready for life after "Glee" with performances from the small screen to the big stage. 7's Louis Aguirre is here with details about why this star is "Full of Glee."
WSVN -- Being a gleek is hip and the show is hot, and a big part of the credit goes to this guy.
But Matthew Morrison is getting ready to graduate from "Glee," so to speak, and is working on a solo album.
Matthew Morrison, "Glee" Front Man: "Well, we finish up 'Glee' in April. My album is going to come out early May, and then I'm going to go right into rehearsals after 'Glee' is done and rehearse probably about three weeks to a month and really get a nice solid show together."
Morrison is getting in all the shows he can, like this one in LA, as he preps for a world tour during summer break.
But for this 'Glee' clubber, it's not just about the pipes.
Morrison is hoping to bust a move with his post "Glee" career.
Matthew Morrison: "I wanted to do kind of a mix of Justin Timberlake meets Michael Buble. That's the kind of feel I wanted. But you go into the songwriting process, and something completely different came out of it, which is something completely original to me, I feel, and it's very eclectic."
As he flips back through his "Glee" yearbook, Morrison says the biggest thrill this season is working with all the celebs, including Sir Elton John and Anne Hathaway.
Matthew Morrison: "I guess Anne is supposedly playing Kurt's lesbian aunt or something. She is a testament to the writing on this show, why all these big name people really want to be on our show, 'cause they know that they'll look good."
Louis Aguirre: "Morrison's world tour kicks off in Europe. Then, he will head to Japan, Australia and finish right here in the US. No word yet on South Florida dates, but we'll keep you posted."
