They promised to shake things up instead we're left shaking our heads. The nightteam's Shireen Sandoval is here to explain.

WSVN -- Yeah guys that big twist? There was none surprised, huh? And it's got the internet lighting up, but first the other big question who really has the chops to be a singing superstar?

Hello, who needs a group? When you can be a solo superstar?

The final American Idol round of Hollywood week, narrowing it down to the best of the best Idol inching it's way from 100 contestants to 60 as usual, some good and some bad.

But the biggest part of the night was the big twist.

Did i hear that right?

That twist btw, never came sending Idol Twitter fans into a frenzy tweets saying "Did I miss the idol twist." Another "Can someone tell me what the suprising twist was on Idol and twist, what did i miss?" Uh, let us know when you figure it out.

In the meantime, my favorite of the night Jacob Lusk giving a performance worthy of top 12 shoot worthy of a Grammy... Amen!

Can you say standing ovation!? The first of the season tears would follow.

After all the solo performances contestansts were split into four groups and put into four different rooms.

Jennifer Lopez: "Everyone in this room is moving on."

Making it thru, room one, favorites like Jc Bado, Robbie Rosen, Lauren Alaina, James Durbin and Casey Abrahms.

Steven Tyler: "I'm sorry to say you didn't make it."

The news wasn't good for the folks in rooms two and three and finally in room four.

Steven tyler "i can't say it jennifer, everyone without exception is going on to the next round ."

Next week forget 60 baby it's down to 24.

Next week the contestants take on the beatles and they have just 24 hours to learn their songs.
