Living It Up: Gymnastics
Talk about bending over backwards to get the job done. Tonight, you're really going to flip for Living It Up. Jackie is taking her turn at tumbling, learning how to be a gymnast.
(WSVN) --We are Living It Up at Gym Kids in North Miami where I am testing my coordination. I'll be getting a one on one instruction in gymnastics.
Jackie: "Okay what are you going to teach me today?"
Joslyn: "We are going to teach you the trampoline, we're going to teach you some flips, we're also going to teach you the bars, some balance beam, maybe a little bit of vault, and you can go on the tumble track."
Jackie: "Is this something that let's say an adult, always wanted to do gymnastics comes in, is it something that an adult could do?"
Joslyn: "Everybody can learn. We could teach everybody, it depends of course on your shape, you know your agility, how easily you're going to learn. But everybody can do gymnastics."
Joslyn: "We're going to learn how to do a pullover. First thing you are going to do is grab on to the bar, you're going to walk all the way up the cheese wedge, which is that orange thing. And you get to the top you are going to kick over and hold yourself up. You're going to do three casts and come off."
Joslyn: "Very good."
Jackie: "So this is called the tumble track."
Joslyn: "You can do all types of jumps on them, you can also tumble. It's mainly made for tumbling."
Jackie: "I of course when I do this have to wear the safety belt, because I don't know how."
Joslyn: "1, 2, 3."
Jackie: "I lost count"
Jackie: "Take two."
Jackie: "How'd you like that?"
Jackie: "Well I've learned all the techniques, now it's time for me to have a little fun."
Jackie: "Well that's what it's like Living It Up learning Gymnastics, they've been bending over backwards for us at Gym Kids in North Miami."
Thursday, Jackie's playing ball with the boys of summer. She's taking batting practice with the Florida Marlins.
