All Living It Up

Tonight, you could say "Living It Up" is a real scorcher. Jackie is in training for one job where you always feel the heat. She's headed to Homestead to find out what it takes to be a Firefighter.

(WSVN) -- We are Living It Up at Homestead where I am learning what it takes to train to become a firefighter. Now if you think it might be easy well wait till you see this.

Jackie: "What are you going to be showing me today?"

Jesse: "Basically today this is the candidate physical ability test. This is the test we give new hirees in order to get qualified to work for the fire department."

Jackie: "Jackie: So what kind of things will you have me doing?"

Jesse: "Well basically we are going to start you off on the step mill. You are going to be wearing a 75 pound vest."

Jesse: "It simulates climbing a high rise building with all the equipment."

Jesse: "This one here is a search maze, it's 64 ft in length, it's completely blacked out...There are several obstacles you'll need to go over or go around and under."

Jackie: "And how heavy is that dummy I'll be carrying down there?"

Jesse: "The dummy weighs 165 pounds. It simulates a victim and what you're going to do is grab him by the handles and drag him 65 feet around the cone and back."

Jackie: "How much time do I have again to do this?"

Jessee: "You have 10 minutes and 20 seconds."

Jackie: "Omigosh"

Jackie: "Well I'm getting all geared up, ready to go, take the test and see if I can handle this. This is going to be hard."

Jackie: "It's hard to balance with all this weight."

Jackie: "Living it up"

Jackie: "Don't you have anyone to put these back for you?"

Jackie: "Are we having fun yet?"

Jackie: "Is that record time too?"

Jackie: "That's what it's like Living It Up training to be a Firefighter."

On Tuesday, Jackie's back in the water.

Catch her if you can.

She's going racing in a Speedboat.
