Living It Up: Fencing
Watch out zorro. There's a new swashbuckler in town and her name is Jackie Johnson. Tonight, Living It Up is taking a stab at Fencing.
(WSVN) -- We are Living It Up in South Florida learning the art of fencing, now you've seen it done in the movies, but see how it's actually done.
Jackie: "For somebody like me, I've never done fencing, if you are interested in fencing what are the first couple things that you learn?"
Andrew: "The first thing you ever learn would be the "on guard" position, which is the standard position from where everything goes from."
Andrew: "You also have to learn to think before you act because you just throw yourself in there, your opponent will take advantage of your unpreparedness."
Jackie: "So Andrew, your teacher here is going to show us how it's done."
Max: "Right, and lunge."
Jackie: "And lunge."
Jackie: "So when you advance right foot first, and when you retreat it's left foot first."
Max: "That's it"
Max: "Advance, lunge."
Max: "Never never you play without masks."
Jackie: "I feel like I'm in a cage."
Max: "You ready? Now, Attack."
Jackie: "And now for some real fencing in action."
Jackie: "And that's what it's like Living It Up learning how to fence at Ruben Dario Park in South Florida, a big thanks goes to Master Max and his student Andrew."
Thursday night -- Jackie takes her act to new heights. She's going hangliding
