Living It Up: Ice Hockey
This past weekend, the best hockey players in the world descended on South Florida for the All Star Game. We're heating up the ice... and Living It Up with members of a local adult hockey team.
(WSVN) --Jackie: "We're living it up at the Miami Ice Arena where as you can see I'm getting all suited up and ready to hit the ice with some of the local hockey players."
Jackie: "What are some of the most important things you need to know before learning to play ice hockey."
Chris: "Umm I guess stay on your feet and move fast and shoot accurately."
Jackie: "What's those things when they have a penalty and shoot a penalty and it's like one-on-one. I want to do that."
Jackie: "I know you're nervous....back up back up back up..."
Chris: "Skating is definitely the most important aspect of hockey, if you can't skate well, you might as well not even pick up the stick."
Jackie: "I'm going as fast as I can."
Jackie: "It's not as easy as it looks. I know I make this look good. I know I'm making it look really easy."
Tyler: "You do get bumps and bruises, nothing that bad, you get hurt every once in a while."
Tyler: "I've dislocated my shoulder, I've got a messed up knee right now, but we're pretty good."
Jackie: "And she breaks away."
Jackie: "That's what it's like Living It Up on the ice. A big thanks to Chris, Tyler and Roman.
Be sure to join us Thursday as Jackie tries to catch some air mountain biking.
