Living It Up: Pro Wrestling

Jackie: "I hear you are quite a celebrity, I know you are the first man to ever hold the hardcore title."

Norman: "The hardcore title yes, the hardcore division of wrestling is actually where we are able to implement chairs, tables, broomsticks"

Jackie: "So just tell me a little bit about wrestling."

Norman: "It's not actually pro wrestling that we try to sell, it's the sports entertainment, there's so much that's done in the ring that's taken for granted, the timing, the positioning."

Jackie: "Why is it so much fun?"

Norman: "Well, the travel, the money, the exposure, you’re treated like a celebrity."

Jackie: "hat does it take to be good at wrestling?"

Norman: "You have to have personality, charisma, athletic ability."

Norman: "I think people live vicariously through the characters we play on TV."

Jackie: "And I know you'll be showing me some things today, will I be able to do it?"

Norman: "This is called a school of hard knocks and you look like a tough girl Jackie Johnson."

Jackie: "All right, well let's try, let's do it."

Norman: "Okay Jackie, today is your first match and your opponent is going to be Bruno Sassy here."

Jackie: "I can take you on."

Norman: "The first offensive move is what we call a headlock."

Norman: "The headlock is applied in this fashion, on the left side hold him like this."

Norman: "You are going to hold your hands like this, that's a wrestler's grip."

Norman: "He's going to run forward and use his momentum to push you off, release the headlock."

Jackie: "And then I fall back?"

Norman: "Yes and then you are going to come back and you are going to give him what we call a tackle."

Norman: "It's chest to chest."

Jackie: "All right!"

Jackie: "I need a wrestling name."

Norman: "Jazzy Jackie Johnson"

Jackie: "Alright where's my chair?"

Jackie: "That's right, and don't you forget it!"

Jackie: "Now let's see how the real wrestlers do it."

Norman: "That's the big wiggle."

Jackie: "And that's what it's like Living It Up learning how to pro wrestle, I'm Jackie Johnson, 7 news... you okay?"
