Do you remember the scene in Rocky where Sylvester Stallone runs to the art museum? Well, training to be heavyweight champ is apparently a lot of work. Just ask Jackie - she's learning it takes more than an uppercut to cut it in the ring.

(WSVN) -- We are Living It Up Training to Box with with former heavyweight champ Shannon Briggs, if you want to know what it takes to beat someone like George Foreman, join us in the ring, come on.

Jackie: "So there's a couple of things that you do each day to train, and you'll be showing me some of those today correct?"

Shannon: "Yes ma'am I'll be showing you a lot of different things, the jab, some leg movement, some foot movement, some sparring, some heavy bag work, lot of different things, you'll be ready."

Jackie: "What's the most important thing, strength or speed?"

Shannon: "That's what's funny with boxing, it's so unique, you have to have strength and you have to have flexibility and speed."

Jackie: "Did you beat George Foreman?

Shannon: "Yes ma'am."

Jackie: "What was that like?"

Shannon: "I was very young, I was 26 years old, so to fight a legend, a living legend, a guy that I watched as a kid on television with my dad, it was a great experience for me."

Jackie: "Now I heard something interesting, you sleep in a tent now?"

Shannon: "I sleep in an altitude tent, which basically simulates high altitude so that when I'm training at sea level I get more oxygen in."

Jackie: "And here's what you can do to train like Shannon Briggs, we are going to show you."

Jackie: "What do we start off with?"

Shannon: "The jab."

Jackie: "The jab?"

Shannon: "Yes ma'am"

Shannon: "You want to use your left hand, this will be called number one, this will be your jab, so I'll say number one."

Shannon: "One, two,"

Shannon: "Let me see a one two three now...aw man perfect."

Shannon: "Foot movement would be second."

Shannon: "I'm going to have you go around the ring like this."

Jackie: "All right, what's next?"

Shannon: "Well we could hit the bag."

Jackie: "Let's do it."

Shannon: "Start with that jab, the number one, you want to get that one out there."

Jackie: "Do I look like a boxer?"

Jackie: "I bet you try to have a healthy diet also?"

Shannon: "Yeah I try to...I think I'm supposed to have like 6000 calories a day."

Shannon: "Well after I usually do my boxing workout I go over to my wrestling coach, Jeff Munsen."

Jeff: "One of the primary tools that we use is the medicine ball, we do probably 15 different exercises with this, this is one of Shannon's favorite items to use."

Jackie: "And how much does this ball weigh?"

Jeff: "So it's like throwing a bowling ball."

Shannon: "Well Jackie the last thing we do is running, you ready?

Jackie: "I'm ready. Let's do it."

Shannon: "Come on Jackie, come on, come on pick it up, put some step into it, that's right."

Jackie: "Briggs I don't know how you do this everyday in the hot sun. Well that is what it's like Living It Up Training To Be A Heavyweight Champ, I'm Jackie Johnson 7 News."

Next week, you won't see Jackie until Thursday. She has to rest up for a gridiron challenge. She's going to training camp with the Dolphins.
