Tonight, drinks are on the house. Jackie Johnson's giving new meaning to spin the bottle. She's Living It Up learning the hottest bar tricks in South Beach.
(WSVN) -- We are Living It Up just like Tom Cruise in Cocktail. You want to learn some crazy bar tricks? Well, here's a start.
Jackie: "So what are some of the skills that you need to be a good bartender?"
Federico: "You gotta have speed, a club like this gets really busy."
Jackie: "I've seen Cocktail, I know they throw around the bottles. You can do that, right?"
Federico: "Yeah,
it's about entertaining, keeping people entertained. There's a relationship thing. Like, you might recognize me on the street because of that."Jackie: "Alright, we'll see how I do. Let's get started."
Jackie: "Alright, you got me behind the bar. What are we doing now?"
Federico: "We are going to make a couple drinks, a sex on the beach, peach schnapps on the rocks, and a vodka and cran."
Jackie: "What are you doing here?"
Federico: "It's just another flare trick. You know, get people's attention. You stack up glasses and you make three different drinks."
Jackie: "And you guys make a lot of money. How much do you usually make a night?"
Federico: "Anywhere from like three to seven hundred a night."
Federico: "Now, what I want you to do first, you are going to grab the tin from the top. You are going to fling it up in the air/ It's going to do a half rotation and it's going to land like this in the back of your hand."
Jackie: "You have to be pretty coordinated to do all of this."
Federico: "Sometimes when you drop stuff you want to just keep going
you gotta keep going before people have a chance to laugh."Federico: "You are going to have a tin in your hand, and the bottle in the other hand. Throw up the bottle. When the bottle is in the air, you are going to pass your tin from your left to your right and catch the bottle behind your back."
Federico: "So now you put it all together."
Jackie: "My teacher, folks."
Jackie: "Well I guess it's my turn to try out the routine, so here we go."
Jackie: "And that, my friends, is how you make three drinks at once."
Jackie: "And that's what it's like Living It Up learning bar tricks with the Premium Bartending School. Luckily for me, they teach you how to make non-alcoholic drinks. A Shirley Temple for me."
