Living It Up: High Fashion Modeling

Jackie: "Amy you are 23, how long have you been modeling for."

Amy: "I've been modeling for almost 5 years now."

Jackie: "And what's it like?"

Amy: " It's fun, it's exciting, it's a good way to travel when you are young, yeah it's a nice lifestyle."

Jackie: "What does it take to do modeling, because you don't just go out there and smile."

Amy: "For me it's sort of an intuitive process, you sort of see what you look like, you look at the makeup, the clothes and you kind of get an idea of how the photographer shoots and then you kind of have to like know what to do."

Jackie: "So Carlos, what goes into planning these shoots?"

Carlos: "A lot of things go on for these shoots, from the food, from the location, the styling , the hair, the makeup, clothes, model, photographer, it's a 20 people group here, and they all have to coordinate at the right time."

Jackie: "Just tell me a little bit about today's shoot."

Carlos: "We are going with a lot of neutral and very colorful pastels."

Jackie: "It looks very vintage."

Carlos: "This is the one you should wear (J:beautiful)"

Carlos: "Let me see, look at that, like a debutante."

Jackie: "Ali how do you pick out girls or models to work for your agency?"

Ali: "If a girl has it, she has it, you have to have an eye for the business."

Jackie: "They're all so thin, how much do they weigh?"

Ali: "I think at 5'10" they are usually between a 110 pounds to 120."

Photog: "That's beautiful looking, I like that."

Photog: "Now just your eyes to me."

Jackie: "So what makes a great picture?"

Photog: "emotion, just the fact that somebody looks at a picture and they say wow, that's all that it is."

Photog: "Now just bring your chin down a smidge more."

Photog: "That looks super"

Jackie: And that's what it's like Living It Up, doing a high fashion model shoot for ocean drive magazine.
