Living It Up: Making Chocolate Treats
Tonight, you better save room for dessert. Living It Up is putting a new spin on an old classic. We'll call it the story of Jackie Johnson and the Chocolate Factory.
(WSVN ) -- Jackie: "We all know that chocolate is a girl's best friend. Well we are living it up today with a sweet tooth, do you want to know how your favorite treats are made, well come on back, we've got a river of chocolate and we are going to show you how to make it."Jackie: "What's it like owning a chocolate factory?"
Cindy: "So much fun, so much fun, people are always happy, always looking for something sweet, and when they're giving it they're happy and the people receiving it are happy, it's the best
Jackie: "so you can do all kinds of fun things with chocolate."
Cindy: "Anything can be made into chocolate."
Dad: "Allright, I'll get you one before the day is out
Jackie: "Now see I don't mind getting messy with chocolate," and she puts on her apron.
Cindy: "We are going to add a flavor of chocolate into the tank, watch it melt down and start molding."
Jackie: "There we go, we are mixing up the chocolate."
Cindy: "This takes about 10 minutes for this to melt down it's a very high temperature right now."
Jackie: "How warm?"
Cindy: "It's about 300 degrees."
Jackie: "So easter's coming up, we've got a little mold of an easter bunny?"
Jackie: "And just pour the chocolate."
Jackie: "Oh neat"
Cindy: "So now you want to dip?"
Jackie: "Let's start with the strawberries."
Cindy: "When you are doing the strawberry you take it by the stem and you place it under the chocolate."
Jackie: "So how long do these take to dry?"
Cindy: "This takes about 3 minutes."
Jackie: "Let's make more." Jackie dips strawberries into pots filled with chocolate.
Jackie: "I feel funny, what's happening???"
Cindy: "Okay we are going to be making a smore."
Jackie: "sounds pretty good."
Jackie: "Now that's a good looking smore."
Jackie: "This is definately one of my favorite shoots that we've done, do you think I did okay on it?"
Cindy: "I think you did phenomenalNow's the best part, the tasting."
Charlie: "I think it's the most wonderful place in the whole world."
Jackie: "Me too."
Jackie: "It has been so much fun living it up making chocolate at Kron Chocolatier in Aventura mall, if you want more information log on to our website at WSVN.com, I'm Jackie Johnson, and I've got a tummy ache...
