Just because a home isn't supersized doesn't mean it can't be spectacular. We're taking a tour of one Coral Gables apartment that will prove the point in tonight's Luxury Living report.

(WSVN) -- Cool elegance is the best way to describe this Coral Gables apartment...

And it's the best way to describe it's owner nightlife diva ingrid casares...

Homeowner, Ingrid Casares says, "A New York SOHO vibe I sort of wanted to make this like nothing you could find in Miami.."

To get the look Ingrid worked with Briggs Edward..a talented L.A. based interior designer who moved to Miami about a year ago..

But Briggs was actually designing for two. Ingrid and the main man in her life..

"Nico.."

Her two year old son Nicholas.

Ingrid says, "Modern but warm because I have a baby and stuff I don't want it to look like a nightclub".

Whimsical black and white stripes are the first thing you see when you step out of the elevator and into the foyer...

Just around the corner you enter the dining room where a Phillipe Starck chandelier hangs over the intimate area.

The master bedroom also simple and elegant -- Briggs job to keep things modern but light.

Briggs Edward of Briggs Edward Design says, "When you deal with modern and you deal with modern pieces they're very hard they have hard edges and that's great and everything if you're doing a lobby or a hotel but if you have to actually live in that space you have to soften it up a little with accessories.."

Briggs used accessories like bright yellow pillows and throws to give the living room a little extra color...

He says, "This room was a bedroom so we opened up this wall here tore it down just to bring light into the living area.."

Now it's a media room.

The closet's been replaced with custom made cabinetry to hide all of the electronics..

Briggs says, "Keeps it nice and clean and hides everything..."

A beautiful paper mache chandelier from Paris in the media room another soft touch...

As well as a single panel of Gracie wall paper which hangs in the hallway.

With the help of a good designer anyone can go from this to this....

Ingrid says, "He moved to Miami and I thought that I would give him a shot to do my place because I thought he would do the best..."

And he did...
