When you think art deco, you probably think South Beach... But if you head North there's a bit of art deco, luxury style, at this Aventura penthouse.
(WSVN) -- Fabian Garcia-Diaz, Fortune International Realty, says: "This apartment offers in Aventura, the most that people wants, which is security and comfort, and good classy services."
Perched high up on the 31st floor of the Portovita complex, this 4 bedroom 4 bath pad boasts just the right retro style.
With a little help from designer Phyliss Taylor, of The Taylor & Taylor Partnership, the 4-thousand square foot penthouse is now a 1920's paradise.
"We were inspired by the artwork that the clients brought with them," says Taylor, "and they had numerous collections of art deco pieces, everything from perfume bottles, to Lalique, to Tiffany pieces."
Like this 26-thousand dollar Lalique chandelier hanging above this unique dining room table.
A 1950's antique buffet from France.
Or this classic Lowell Nesbit painting, which became the focal point for the dining room.
"They had a wonderful collection of modern art and numerous pieces from the art deco period which we incorporated in our design," says Taylor.
Open floor plan also called for a lot of innovation.
"These are wood louvers, that we've constructed to act as a room divider," says Taylor.
Just as stunning, the ocean liner-inspired living room, which looks out to the ocean on one side and the city to the other.
"What we tried to do," explains Taylor, "was to work with the space and the views, so we have filtering devices that give you a sense of coziness and privacy, but really it's an open plan more or less."
Inspired by this Andy Warhol painting... The kitchen's a mix of fun and funky.
From the kitchen banquette...
To these two antique art deco light fixtures.
In fact, you'll find one of a kind art deco lighting in the media room... The bedroom... And even the bathroom.
From classic antiques... To his and her closets... To a giant modern T-V, this Aventura penthouse has got it, that's if you can afford it.
For this apartment, you need only 3 million, 3 hundred and 90 thousand dollars and it's yours.
The apartment is for sale, unfurnished.
