A million bucks can buy a lot these days, including a South Florida home that feels like you're a million miles away. Take a look as you enter this Luxury Living haven.

It sits on busy Alton Road, but once you walk through the gates of this Miami Beach home, it's like entering a Balinese paradise.Owner, Chris Gentile, got the design idea after spending six months on the Indonesian Island.
"
I was really inspired by the sort of Bali modern look," he says, "and I thought this is something I could create in South Florida. This would work really well. It fits my lifestyle and fits the lifestyle of South Florida."Gentile calls this 25-hundred square foot home, Villa Ahimsa, which means "place of tranquility" in Sanskrit.
He bought the three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bath house nearly three years ago, and remodeled the entire thing... Check out his before pictures.

I loved the house," he says, "and I looked at it and thought I could do some things with it."Gentile says his favorite room is the master suite, which is simple yet luxurious.
Inside, a built-in teak armoire... The wood used here and in the floor imported from Bali.
The hand-carved doorways flown in from Jakarta.
As was this man's wedding sarong, lined with 18-karat gold thread.
Gentile says whatever he couldn't find, he had made to order.
"
A lot of the furniture you see here is custom-designed," he points out. "These pieces were built exactly for these spaces."Even the artwork is authentic.
Gentile's brother carved these bamboo designs out of sandstone and shipped the pieces to the U.S.
Now, after restoring the place, Gentile is ready to move on and is selling the place for just under a million bucks.
"
Really for Miami Beach, it's quite a bargain," says Bill Carson of Carson Realty. "To get a house with this kind of attention to detail, you would generally be looking at something in the 2, 3, 4, 5 million dollar range."
