It's an art deco hotel that's undergone a major renovation. Now, it's one of the hottest places to stay on South Beach. We're taking you inside the Clinton Hotel in tonight's Luxury Living report.
(WSVN) -- It's always been pretty on the outside, but just a year ago, the Clinton Hotel was undergoing a major renovation inside.
Now some 12 million dollars later, it's one of South Beach's hidden gems along busy Washington Avenue.
Simon Nemni, Clinton Hotel Owner, says, "We completely gutted the building, we just kept the outside walls, that's all we kept. We added two floors and we turned this 70 room hotel to a 90 room hotel."
The hotel was originally built in 1930.
Simon wanted to keep that art deco flavor, but add a unique touch so he brought in French designer Eric Raffy.
Interior Designer Eric Raffy says, "I got inspiration with Miami style of living and a little of Parisian style."
Although it's a block from the ocean, the hotel's theme is water.
From the rooms that overlook the reflecting pool...
To the pool area, with it's lifeguard looking balconies... Eric's put a touch of water throughout the hotel.
But if you take a closer look, you'll also find a hint of seduction and whimsy, like the one of a kind lobby seating, the corset mirrors, and the corset chairs in every room.
"Everything is with a corset," Eric says. "To bound, but not too much, to enwrap the hotel."
"It was meant to be fun," Simon says, "so that's why we put all this detail everywhere in the chairs, in the mirror, in the bathroom."
Speaking of rooms, the hotel now has 30 loft suites with their own private jacuzzis.
This is the spa suite, which will cost you 15-hundred dollars a night.
The entire suite is centered around a glass enclosed tub.
But don't worry, you don't have to run the bath yourself.... a private butler will do it for you... Plus, bring you bubbly, turn down the bed and even sprinkle real cocoa and rose petals in your bath if you want to bathe in luxury.
Simon says, "You have to go into the detail to make people feel that they came to a place that's special, that they are treated special."
