Are you one of those people out there who just don't have time to exercise? Well, tonight we're going to show you how to squeeze your gym hour into your lunch hour. Seven's Christine Cruz with more on this Healthy Lunch."
WSVN -- People are using their lunch breaks to break a sweat. So, why would anyone choose the stair climbing machine over the vending machine at lunch time?
Eva: "I feel better. I'm able to sleep better."
So listen up because this is one lunch combo you don't want to miss.
Christine Cruz: "If you were squeezing your work out into your lunch hour and you had 35 minutes, can you get results in that time?"
Andrea Gil: "Of course you can as long as the intensity is a little bit higher."
Andrea Gil is a fitness guru. A little investigative reporting on my part revealed that people who take her classes refer to her as "the beast," and it's not because she's mean, it's because she's really tough.
Andrea, you've got 35 minutes. Ready set, burn.
Andrea Gil: "Stepping right here, bringing it forward, so you're working your lower body and, at the same time, you're working your chest, so you would do 15 to 20 reps."
Andrea Gil: "Go into a squat with bicep curl."
Andrea Gil: "And we are going into a triceps kickback."
Andrea Gil: "Come on the treadmill, set it up for three to five minutes."
You can repeat that circuit two to three times, and then, if you have a few minutes left, hit the ball.
Andrea Gil: "Go ahead and lift up and bring it down. You can also do variations of this by crossing as well."
Christine Cruz: "So you've done the hard part, now you're probably wondering how you're going to get back into shape to get back to work after working out?"
Christine Cruz: "Well, as far as makeup is concerned, a little blush on the apple of the cheeks; that's all you need."
Christine Cruz: "Another quick trick, if your club has a hand dryer, you can use it as a blow dryer."
And, before you get back to work, there's something you should know. A new study shows a mid-day workout will boost your job performance by 15 percent.
So, go ahead, step, walk, curl and burn during your lunch hour. After all, this time the boss is buying.
