The saying is, nothing in life is free, but they're not saying that anymore. In tonight's Money Monday, 7's Lynn Martinez shows us how to find all kind of freebies in South Florida.
WSVN -- Dawn Gaynor loves to go hunting for freebies.
Dawn Gaynor: "It's like the thrill of getting something for nothing like just a treasure hunt, you're always trying to find something and get the best deal out there.
Dawn does a lot of her hunting online on sites like Jodi Furman's livefabu-less.com, she always posts freebies.
Jodi Furman: "Manufacturers and different companies like restaurants and retailers they really want to get you into the stores. They want you to try their brands the best way to do that is to give you a free sample."
The giveaways are everywhere. Free product samples, free performances, birthday freebies, kids eat free specials and all kinds of free classes, where you can learn how to properly pair wine and cheese or how to lay tile.
Dawn Gaynor: "I used to take my little boy to Home Depot to do the projects. Saturday they build for free and they come home with a little car they made."
It's all free for the taking. You just have to know where to look.
Jodi Furman: "There are tremendous amounts of freebies out there you just need to make sure you are looking at places that are reliable, places that you can trust with your information whether it be your name, address, phone number, your e-mail address, but especially with your credit card you want to be very careful."
To find freebies, Jodi says to look for sites that have already done the legwork for you like Free Snatcher, Freebies for Mom, Woman Freebies, mykidseatfree.com or become a fan of what you like on Facebook, Or follow a business on Twitter and wait for the deals to come to you.
Jodi's favorite freebie, new business cards courtesy vistaprint.com.
Jodi Furman: "All I had to do was pay for a very small shipping charge, it was under $4 and they're great business cards they look exactly the same that you would get from a printing shop locally."
Dawn Gaynor: "You always find something, something to do that's interesting, exciting and there's always a deal out there."
