Homemade gifts come from the heart and don't stress the pocketbook like artwork cards and IOU chores to be redeemed whenever dad needs a break. It's also easy to make a mix of his favorite tunes for the cost of a batch of CDs.
Dee Trillo: "It's a great way for them to feel connected to the children because they'll remember that they made something so special for them."
And there are all kinds of gifts under $50. Keep an eye out for Father's Day deals on Living Social and Groupon or take a look at sites like sesame.com for gift sets for him this cocktail kit, and outdoor set can be delivered to your doorstep or go vintage and treat him to a hot shave at Junior and Hatter's in Wynwood.
