Protecting Your Pet: Pet Grooming
Do you hate giving your dog or cat a bath because of the mess? Well, there's a new easy - inexpensive solution. A self-service grooming center. Health specialist Marilyn Mitzel shows us how it works in today's protecting your pet.
WSVN -- Some really like it...
Cary Brizuela, The Gouch's mom: "He loves it -- it gives us the chance to bond and hang out."
Others hate it. Either way -- it's messy.
Mylo's dad Angel Rivera: "Water gets all over the place."
But you don't have to put yourself through the mess any more - scrubbing up your pup and cleaning your kitty just go a lot easier.
Dog-O-Matic owner Jose Requena: "This is a self service doggy wash place and a full service grooming salon so we have both options."
Cary Brizuela, The Gouch's mom: "It's a lot easier to bath him here than at home."
Located in Sunny Isles, Cary and "The Gouch" are regulars at Dog-O-Matic, and so are Angel and Mylo.
Jose Requena: "When you first come here we teach you how to bathe your dog."
And give you all the supplies. Like oatmeal shampoo for dry skin.
Angel Rivera, Mylo's dad: "They show you how to do everything."
What about conditioner for their coat?
Jose Requena: "Bull dogs don't use conditioner cause they've got short hair."
You'll even get a lesson in preventing ear problems!
Jose Requena: "We recommend with some breeds to use cotton to avoid an infection."
Need an anti-flea bath?
Dog owner Urian Moran: "I think it's convenient. The bathtubs are raised up."
You've even got drying options, standing up, hand held or air box.
Jose Requena: "Some dogs love it -- some dogs hate it."
This new creature comfort costs about $10 dollars for small pets - a bit more for large breeds.
Dog owner Urian Moran: "Money well spent."
One last thing before dashing out the door - a splash of perfume.
