It's making a world of difference for Rusty Atlas.
Rusty Atlas: "They can be picked up in the morning -- taken to vet so he can take his time with them and I don't have to sit around waiting all day -- I know that they're being transported safely to and from."
Businesses catering to animals also use the transportation service to make daily life easier for their two legged clients.
Ron Funt from Bark Avenue Pet Resort: "We call pet taxi. They come right over pick up their dog -- it's great. I take them to the vets. I take them to the groomer, I take them to day care, I take them to other people's houses."
But make sure the pet taxi company is insured.

Rusty Atlas: "She's got a great little van set up with cages."
Trish Minnich: "I have three options for transport."
Some pets do okay just riding on the seat, strapping them in is safer.
Small creatures do well in their own carriers. Whatever the route it's a win win for pooch, felines and mankind.
Rusty Atlas: "As much as I love this big one he is a mess in the car and so its a real convenience to me not to have him slobbering and flicking his stuff all over the car."
The cost depends on time, distance and number of pets. It's about $15 dollars a ride per animal.
Rusty Atlas: "It's very reasonable considering the time and care -- I think it's a real bargain."
The animals seem to like it too!
Trish Minnich: "They enjoy the ride."
Rusty Atlas: "When they come back they're very happy."
